      16 km north of Lijiang at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Yufeng Monastery is located.

      The monastery is one of five Lamaist monasteries Lіtszyan picturesque valley surrounded by forests and rivers. It was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1711) in the style of Buddhism, Taoism and local religions styles due to cultural communication between different minorities and the areas of the Qing Dynasty. It consisted of ten yards, but survived only gate tower, main hall and two courtyards.

      The temple is desirable to visit in late spring and early summer - a time when booming famous camellia tree is over 500 years old. The tree was planted in the Ming Dynasty. It blooms more than 100 days a year. The size of a single flower - about 17 cm in diameter. 

      Yufeng Temple historical evidence of the peaceful existence of multinational cultures and religions, and is a great architectural and natural monuments of China.
